Claire Turner is the Chief Executive of Carers Leeds, a charity which supports adult and parent unpaid carers. Carers Leeds provides information, advice and support services and aims to influence others to act and create positive change for unpaid carers. Claire is the Third Sector Representative on one of the Population Health Management Boards in Leeds, which is part of the governance structure of the Leeds Integrated Care Systems.

Prior to this Claire worked in policy and research roles at Ageing Better, a charity which focuses on later life and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. These roles have had a strong focus on unpaid care, social care and poverty. Claire also has personal experience of being an unpaid carer, as will 3 in 5 of us at some point over our lives.
