Claire Harrison
Claire is a technology leader, strategist, and innovator, and has held senior roles in a variety of sectors, leading teams in digital and organisational transformation. Prior to joining the MHRA, Claire was part of the executive team responsible for merging NHS Test and Trace, Public Heath England, and Joint Bio Security Centre to create the UK Health Security Agency. In her other public sector roles, Claire won global accolades and awards for her work in digital transformation and innovation, and then spent several years advising international governments on transforming with technology.
Claire joined the Civil Service from the private sector where she consulted to organisations on technology modernisation, cybersecurity, and data exploitation. Claire holds a Masters in Technology Strategy & Management, and is partway through a PHD in International Business specialising in culture with technology, and in recent years has applied that expertise to cross-government, global, and industry collaborations. She is a passionate advocate of ensuring diverse sectors learn from each other, strengthening global innovation and technology ecosystems.
