Anna Arent is the Head of Oncology at AstraZeneca UK and is responsible for leading a team to deliver patient-centric innovation and transformative healthcare solutions, driving AstraZeneca’s ambition to one day eliminate cancer as a cause of death.

In addition to her role overseeing the UK oncology medicine portfolio and pipeline, she is responsible for advancing AstraZeneca’s initiatives aimed at delivering exceptional patient outcomes, such as fostering strategic partnerships that optimize cancer care pathways and ensure patients receive the right treatments and the right time.

Anna brings a wealth of expertise having held leadership positions across the organisation where she partnered with all functions, including R&D, medical and market access. In her previous role as Global Commercial Head for Gastrointestinal oncology, she successfully launched much needed treatments for Biliary Tract and Liver cancers, highlighting her significant contributions to advancing cancer care.
