Andy was a Clinical Haematologist in a tertiary centre for 25yrs with experience of leadership in Cancer, Urgent Care and quality improvement. In over a decade of NHS Board experience he has been Medical Director/Deputy CEO in a Special Measures trust, Clinical Lead and interim CEO in an accelerator ICS and a NED chairing Quality and Our Future Hospitals Committees. He was involved in the delivery of a Vanguard in the New Care Models programme and Place based transformation in Mid Nottinghamshire. With a commitment to population health management he established a System Analytical and Intelligence unit and oversaw Digital, Clinical and Health Inequalities Strategies. He chaired the Health and Social Care Tactical Support Group in the system Local Resilience Forum response to the pandemic.
