I am a community pharmacist with 20 years’ experience in front line pharmacy, head office, business development and LPC roles. I worked for Co-op pharmacy for 17 years, from my pre-reg through to relief pharmacist, manager of a busy health centre pharmacy in Greater Manchester and then into a variety of head office roles for Co-op and then Well pharmacy including service development, tendering, outpatient outsourced contracts, prison contracts and care homes. I was also an LPC committee member for Oldham, Tameside, and Glossop LPC from 2004 and Chair from 2008, as well as being a founding member of the GM association of LPCs (CPGM) prior to LPCs formally merging in 2016.
My current role as Director of Strategic Programmes at the not-for-profit Greater Manchester community pharmacy provider company CHL, involves me leading the organisation’s strategic and business planning, operating framework, stakeholder engagement & management and leadership of the organisation’s employees, as well as securing and delivering a diverse portfolio of projects and programmes supporting or delivered by community pharmacies in Greater Manchester.
I am passionate about community pharmacy and the value we bring to patients and to the NHS.
