Dr Agatha Nortley-Meshe

Regional Medical Director for Primary Care, NHS London

Agatha Nortley-Meshe is a GP and the London Regional Medical Director for Primary Care for NHS England. She has a wealth of experience in clinical leadership, clinical governance and service redesign. Her experiences as a clinical leader and frontline clinician in primary care, community, urgent and emergency care, 111 and 999 have enabled her to develop a whole-system view around healthcare delivery in London, with a unique insight into the interface between primary and urgent care. In addition to this, her extensive experience in healthcare leadership has provided her with a clear understanding of the of wider determinants of health , the impacts of bias in healthcare delivery and inequity in access and treatment. She is passionate about addressing health inequalities to ensure the best outcomes for patients. Agatha is passionate about supporting others to develop leadership skills. She is an accredited WRES expert and a co-director of DAPS Global - specializing in leadership, patient safety and Quality Improvement training for frontline staff. In 2022/23, she was online tutor for the University of London Global MBA Quality Improvement Module. She has presented globally on Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, Healthcare Integration, Primary Care, and EDI
