We are Dementia UK – the specialist

dementia nursing charity that is there for

the whole family.

We know that when someone develops

dementia it doesn’t just impact the person

with the diagnosis – everyone around them

is also affected in some way.

That is why Dementia UK is here. We

continually support and develop Admiral

Nurses (registered nurses who have

specialist knowledge of dementia care)

whether they are working on our Helpline,

in virtual or face-to-face clinic

appointments, or in the community.

Admiral Nurses provide life-changing

support for families affected by dementia,

particularly during complex periods of

transition. They also provide education,

leadership, development and support to

other colleagues and service providers.

With the support of an Admiral Nurse

and Dementia UK, families are offered

reassurance, understanding and a listening

ear that helps them feel more in control.
