With increasing numbers of people being cared for by virtual wards across England, this session will explore the benefits of providing hospital-level care at home and consider what’s next for this innovative approach, the people they care for and the NHS.

Join key clinical leaders as they discuss the progress made so far, share their first-hand experience of setting up and expanding virtual wards in their areas and maximising their impact and potential, so that more people can be treated at home rather than going to hospital.

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of virtual wards, hear how people and their carers have benefitted from being supported in their own home, and how virtual wards can improve the overall quality of care. The session will also provide practical advice and learning opportunities for those looking to set up virtual wards or expand their existing virtual wards.

This session is part of the System Collaboration Zone, which is supported by Novartis Pharmaceuticals UK.
