Optimising the use of AI: a case study in stroke

AI decision-support software can help reduce the time taken to interpret brain scans of suspected stroke patients from 30 mins to under five minutes – enabling quicker access to life-saving treatment.

This session will summarise the journey of AI in stroke, explaining how the use of AI software in England went from just 5 per cent adoption to almost nationwide coverage. It will look to the future of AI in health and touch on areas that show great promise for transforming health and care.
