This session brings together experts in health inequalities and senior leaders from different levels of the system to discuss what tangible action we can take to reduce healthcare inequalities, what we can learn from the pandemic and how we can narrow the gap during recovery.

The panel will also discuss outcomes and recommendations from an upcoming report from the NHS Confederation, covering the response of health and care services to challenges identified by Public Health England (PHE) about the impact of COVID-19 on populations, including people with different protected characteristics, as described in the PHE report by Kevin Fenton in 2020.
