Clinical and Care Professional Leadership: a culture of continuous learning and its contribution to the success of integrated care
Clinical and care system leaders now have a unique opportunity to bring about long-lasting change for the populations they serve. Fulfilling the potential of ICSs will require a type of integrated leadership distributed across a system that we have not seen in health and care: one built upon a commitment to radical thinking and meaningful collaboration. This needs to be enabled by a culture of psychological safety and continuous learning.
The Clinical and Care Professional Leadership Guidance presented a framework of five principles around which systems can structure their efforts to cultivate their model of distributed integrated leadership that will be fit to meet these challenges and opportunities. This is an opportunity to hear how this work is progressing nationally, hear from system leaders implementing the guidance and to consider the opportunities for the future of integrated care systems.
