With systems expected to have completed the comprehensive development of virtual wards towards a national ambition of 40–50 virtual beds per 100,000 population by the end of 2023, now is the time to be discussing the challenges of running virtual wards effectively. In this session, we will hear from senior NHS leaders and clinicians on the challenges they faced with setting up and running virtual wards, and how they overcame them. You will hear how Doccla, the virtual ward provider, ensured smooth running of the service and their ambition to provide further support through front line clinical capacity, now they hold CQC accreditation.

This session is supported by Doccla.
