A vision for eye care

16 Jun 2022
PUU5 - 11C
Supporter session , Driving recovery

Ophthalmology is the busiest outpatient speciality and there have been various plans for the reform of eye care in recent years, yet the impact of COVID-19 has led to growing waiting lists. NHS England and NHS Improvement is currently in the process of recruiting the first-ever national clinical director for eye care, a role which should provide welcome additional national clinical leadership. The Eyes Have It partnership (Roche, Macular Society, Fight for Sight, Royal College of Ophthalmologists and Association of Optometrists) will lead a discussion on how national plans and commitments can translate to local impact.

This session is supported by Roche.
