Our purpose is to help people reach their potential and live well in their communities. We do this through our values and actions, directed by the ambitions and objectives we set through our trust strategy.

In early 2024 we started our engagement and involvement for the development of our new strategy, so we could gather insight from our service users, carers, staff and local communities. We called this our ‘All of us conversation’, linked to our trust motto: ‘With all of us in mind’.

We heard from almost a quarter of our workforce, all of our partners and over 1,500 people from our local communities. Helping us with this were our community connectors, who carry out engagement for us with local communities. The insight we gathered was rich, represented a wide range of people and groups and has ensured that our trust-wide strategy has people at its centre.

In this session you will hear from our equality and inclusion leads on their approach, and from community connectors who will share their experiences of engagement at the local level.
