How can AI reshape service delivery, redesign care pathways, and improve outcomes at scale - while balancing short-term optimisation with long-term transformation?

This session explores a problem-first approach to AI adoption, rooted in real-world healthcare needs. Drawing on two new reports from UCLPartners and South London Health Innovation Network, in collaboration with The Health Foundation, the panel will share insights from AI use across London and national examples of non-clinical AI tackling system-wide challenges.

Panellists will discuss how providers can achieve immediate efficiency gains while building the foundations for sustainable innovation. The discussion will explore the importance of integrated data, digital infrastructure, and workforce readiness in safely scaling AI, alongside the risks and practical barriers to adoption.

Join us to discover how strategic, evidence-led AI can support a more resilient, responsive, and equitable health and care system.
