No place left behind: building lasting partnerships for health and prosperity

11 Jun 2025
Charter 1 - main stage
Collaboration / partnerships / patient or public engagement , Integration – system / place / neighbourhood

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people leave the workforce due to ill health — undermining not only individual wellbeing but also our collective economic potential. The message is clear: national and local governments cannot drive inclusive growth without putting health at the centre of their plans, and the NHS cannot improve population health alone.

This panel session will explore how health and prosperity are deeply intertwined — and why partnerships are essential. We’ll examine the NHS’s expanding role in local economies and how collaboration with local government and other non-NHS partners can drive inclusive growth and reduce health inequalities.

Join us for a forward-looking conversation on building healthier, more prosperous communities — where no place, and no person, is left behind.
