This panel session will showcase a successful example of delivering care in the community through the Everton in the Community (EITC) BEAT Breathlessness Hub – England’s first community-based heart and lung screening hub. The Hub facilitates access for all from across the county and provides them with life-changing and lifesaving information about their heart health and treatment options, whilst helping to alleviate pressure on the region’s public services. Following its launch, over 1,200 people with breathlessness have attended the Everton BEAT Breathlessness Hub, which has been shortlisted for two 2025 HSJ Partnership Awards. Leading the way with community health screenings, this is a testament to the power of sport, collaboration, and community-focused healthcare.
