Connecting with Young People Digitally through Innovation
This joint session with Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex (Health Innovation KSS), YMCA DownsLink and NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Kent Surrey and Sussex will focus on best practice for co-designing innovations that target children and young people. We have developed a checklist to provide step-by-step support to innovators working in this space.
Children and young people are often missed when innovators develop and design their solutions. Innovators have told us they don’t always know how to engage with these audiences.
Our session will cover:
• our work with young people to gather tips, resources and produce a checklist on how to engage best with young people
• our collaboration with innovators to understand the support they required and to identify best practice
• our free checklist featuring a step-by-step guide to working with young people including preparation prior to a meeting, implementation and evaluation insights from engagement
• videos from young people sharing insights and case studies from organisations who have engaged with children and young people
• examples of innovations where young people have been engaged to support the audience, with examples of user-led design.
