Bump, Birth and Beyond: prevention and early intervention in pregnancy and beyond
Bump, Birth and Beyond (BBB) is an early intervention service that supports vulnerable families living in the most deprived areas of South Yorkshire. The service aims to improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities for pregnant women and their families.
BBB is led by Barnardo’s, who seek to meet families at their point of need to provide holistic support by holding hands with the family to enable them to make connections with services and to ensure they receive the outcomes they most need.
This session will explore how BBB was developed and how integrated care system partners took the bold step to act differently. With permission, we will share stories from families describing the complex circumstances and challenges facing them, many of which are much wider than health alone. We will outline how the service supports families to guarantee a lasting impact.
